Jeethu Joseph talks about casting Mohanlal in the movie Ner. Jeethu said that when he writes a story, he does not see an actor in his mind, but first creates the subject. Jeethu said that since Mohanlal had done the role of lawyer and emotional character for a long time, he felt that he should do it.
Jeethu added, “You can’t do justice to the story when you write a film with an actor in front of you.” In an interview with Mathrubhumi, Jeethu Joseph was talking about his new film with Mohanlal.
‘Not so, we have developed a story. Then when I came to work on it, I felt the desire to do Lal sir. There was a gap after he played a lawyer. Similarly, emotional films have been less. I felt Lal sir for this.
So he went to Lal sir. When I develop a subject I create it first. But you don’t work like that after seeing an artist. When that happens, we may not be able to do justice to the story,’ said Jeethu Joseph.
Mohanlal is saying in an interview that after writing like that, he will have to do a lot of things for that artist. ‘After writing like that, he will have to do a lot of things for him. There are casting agents in all foreign countries. They find out what is good for this film and bring him to it.
If we go to write a film for ourselves, it will be a mess. He wants a song today, he wants a fight, etc. They thought how to place me in this character,’ said Mohanlal.
When asked whether George Kutty was also the face of Laletan, Jithu Joseph replied that he never was.
