There have been avalanches in Lånefjorden, between Balestrand and Høyanger.
– The landslide is 100 meters wide and around 5 meters high, says Jørgen Bødtker, traffic operator in the Norwegian Road Administration.
The road is closed, but crews are working on the site. Bødtker says that they have temporarily limited the information to be released in connection with the landslide and when the road will be reopened.
Further east, in the Esefjorden, there have also been snowstorms. Here, the road will first be reassessed at 12:00 on Sunday.
– Will the road in Lånefjorden be closed until tomorrow too?
– It says that one hopes to clear the landslide during the day, but it is difficult to say now whether it will be easy to do, says Bødtker.
For information: Firda was injured for using the picture from Lånefjorden in the case of the landslide at Esefjorden. There have been two races; one in Lånefjorden and one in Esefjorden.
