In The Hague, the facade of a restaurant was damaged early on Saturday morning, probably by an explosive. The police suspect that this case involved violent fireworks. The incident took place around 5:30 am. Images show damage to the front door of the building on Hobbemaplein. The windows were blown off the door.

Around 12:45 a.m. a “huge bang” was heard here, probably the result of an explosion. Two residents of the house that was probably hit were at home at the time of the explosion. No one was injured.
There have been a striking number of explosions at homes and buildings throughout the country this year. On Friday evening it was announced that the South Holland city of Vlaardingen is increasing security in the Oostwijk district due to the recent explosions there.
