NEW YORK — Two people were injured during a shooting in the Bronx on Friday afternoon, the New York City Fire Department said.
The emergency call to the Police occurred at around 2:24 pm to report a shooting in the area of 5 W Burnside Avenue in between Jerome Avenue y Davidson Avenue. Upon arrival they found two people with gunshot wounds who were transported to the hospital.
The suspect was captured on security footage walking down Burnside Avenue, sporting a red jacket with dark and white stripes and a red helmet.
He was walking towards a scooter that was parked across the street, when he turned towards the cigarette shop, entered and then left on the scooter.
According to police, one of the injured, 21-year-old, was shot in the stomach and the second injured, 22-year-old, was shot in the chest.
According to the first investigations, the suspect was taken from the cigarette store on Thursday and would have returned this Friday armed to shoot at the workers there.
The injured were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and remain in stable condition.
