While he was singing and interacting with the audience, he suddenly lost his balance and fell backward. It was eventually confirmed that he died suddenly due to a severe heart attack.
Pedro Enrique was invited to Feira de Santana in Bahia, Brazil, on the 13th to perform at a private event for internet celebrity Loise Abreu. The event was reportedly live broadcast on social platforms.
The video revealed shows Enrique singing his song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo” while standing on the edge of the stage. He then raised the microphone in the air with one hand and urged the audience to sing together; but when he put the microphone back to his mouth, he suddenly lost his balance and fell backward, falling on his back at the musicians’ feet.
Everyone at the scene was instantly stunned and screamed. Only then did the staff and musicians react, quickly check Enri’s condition and send him to the nearest hospital for rescue. Enrique’s record label “Todah Music” later issued a statement, in addition to confirming Enrique’s death, it also revealed that “he suffered from a serious heart disease.”
Enrique is survived by his wife, Suilan Barreto, and two-month-old daughter, Zoe. In addition to his original plan to release his latest single on the 14th, he will also perform in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro at the end of this month.
