Northeast United Loses 3-1 to Defending Champions Mohun Bagan in ISL Match

GUWAHATI – Despite taking the lead in the fourth minute in front of their home crowd, Northeast United lost in the ISL. They beat Mohun Bagan 3-1. Thondompa Singh was red carded in the fifty-fourth minute but they were 1-2 down before that. Defending champions Bagan are coming off their sixth win in seven games. They are one point behind Kerala Blasters and Goa. Blasters have played three more games and Goa one more. It is the fourth loss in 10 games for North East.
The hosts took the lead in the fourth minute through Falguni Singh, but Deepak Tangri (14th minute) and Jason Cummings (28th) hit back. Subhasish Bose (71) scored the third goal.
