Administrative Court in Sofia Opens Second Case to Stop Dismantling of Soviet Army Monument

The Administrative Court in Sofia has opened a second administrative case on requests to stop the dismantling of the Monument to the Soviet Army. The new request to the court was made by the “Vazrazhdane” party, BNR reported.

In the initiated case, the court obliges the SDVR to check what actions, on whose behalf and on what grounds are being carried out on the monument, and the police must provide a report by 5 p.m. on December 18, Monday.

In the same period, the regional governor of Sofia must provide the reasons for the dismantling.

Yesterday, the regional administration had to provide the same documents to the same court in the previous administrative case. It was filed at the request of the “Stand up.BG” association and is again to stop the ongoing dismantling, notes BGNES.
