Massive X2.8 Solar Storm Hits Earth – Did It Affect New York City?

The last time a solar storm of this power hit Earth was September 10, 2017.

THE solar storms and their consequences on the Terre fascinate the whole world. Indeed, a Solar eruption can generate incredible phenomena 149 million kilometers away on the blue planet: like disruptions to telecommunications systems and northern Lights at very low latitudes.

New York affected?

This Thursday, December 14, a solar storm stood out on the surface of the Soleil. A storm classified as X2.8, according to NASA. Or the solar storm “the most powerful since September 10, 2017”, according to meteoetradar.com.

A phenomenon which would have had repercussions and caused radio interference to UNITED STATES and at Mexico. Some observers even attribute to it a power outage in New York.
