Johannesburg: Captain Suryakumar Yadav’s blistering century and spinner Kuldeep Yadav’s 5-wicket performance on his birthday gave India a massive win over South Africa in the 3rd Twenty20. With this, the series is tied (1-1). Chasing the target of 202 runs set by India, South Africa scored only 95 runs. All out in 13.5 overs. India won by 106 runs.
David Miller (35 off 25 balls). Only captain Aiden Markram (25) and Donovan Ferreira (12 runs) crossed the double figure. All the rest returned without significant contributions. He returned to the dressing room with two for zero and three for one run.
South Africa won the toss and sent India into bat. India scored 201 runs for seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Suryakumar got out after scoring 100 runs off 56 balls. Opener Yashaswi Jaiswal’s fifty (60 runs off 41 balls) was also crucial in getting a good score.

Suryakumar’s innings consisted of 8 sixes and 7 fours. Yashaswi Jaiswal hit 3 sixes and 6 fours. Shubman Gill (8) was the first to return from the Indian line as he tried to bowl Keshav Maharaj’s ball and got stuck in front of the wicket. Tilak Verma, who came after him, gave a catch to Aiden Markram on the very first ball he faced and went back. The team score is two out of 29. Both were sent back by Keshav Maharaj.
Later, Suryakumar Yadav and Yashaswi Jaiswal’s rescue mission brought India back into the game. The next wicket fell when the Indian score reached 141. Opener Jaiswal returned with a catch to Reza Hendricks off Tabreez Shamsi. 112 runs were scored by the partnership of Surya and Jaiswal. Among the latter, only Rinku Singh crossed the double figure (14 runs).
The first match was abandoned due to rain. After the second match was interrupted by rain, South Africa won under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.
