It looks like it hasn’t had any updates in the Tweakers Downloads for a while. I have been a Bitwarden user for a while and am not really looking for a new password manager, but I am curious about what makes it better than that one. The UI looks a bit neater I think, but is that the only thing?
There are still some minor downsides to Bitwarden, which makes me take a look around again. For example, the screen sometimes wants to remain in the taskbar when starting up (and not minimized to the system tray) and logging in automatically on devices where I am really the only user does not always work properly. I also think it’s a shame that it doesn’t have an icon or an easy way to quickly fill out a form (which LastPass did have). I think always filling in automatically is a bit risky). And if I log in with a login that is already used elsewhere because it is the same client, it never really wants to merge it. And when I register somewhere, it doesn’t always automatically fill in some information (and a generated password), which I find a bit lame.
I’m curious whether 1password does that better and what the pros and cons are. When I was looking for something different 2 years ago, it wasn’t really a good alternative (although I don’t remember why)
