Vladimír Růžička Retires from Slovan Bratislava, Club Searching for New Coach and Players

BRATISLAVA. Vladimír Růžička lasted only two and a half months on the Slovan Bratislava substitute. According to Sportnet, the 60-year-old Czech coach is retiring from Slovan. Nový Čas has already brought the information.

The club is working on hiring a new coach, who should lead the team in the next match next Wednesday against Nitra and in the training sessions before that. In the game is Peter Oremus, who was released by Zvolen this week.

Changes will also occur in the player squad and should also affect the team’s current best scorer. Thirty-two-year-old Chris Brown scored fourteen goals in 24 games. He was second behind Brendan Ranford in the productivity table with twenty points.

Another legionnaire, Canadian defender Shawn Lalonde, who came as a replacement for compatriot Matt Murphy, will probably leave the squad.

In Slovan, they are working intensively on a replacement and want to present a new acquisition from the north of Europe next week.
