Dr. Johannes Baumann will join Baker McKenzie’s Frankfurt office in February next year. Baumann has been a member of Hengeler Mueller for almost eleven years, where he was appointed counsel at the beginning of 2020. His move is associated with a promotion to partner.
He advises on M&A transactions, including carve-outs and restructurings, as well as on corporate law, representing companies and private equity funds. A focus of his work is on supporting complex structural measures, corporate governance issues and shareholder matters. In the recent past, Baumann has advised, among others, Schneider Electric on the sale of VinZero and the industrial gases specialist Messer.
With Johannes Baumann, Baker McKenzie is continuing a series of additions from other large law firms at partner level. Last year, Dr. Katharina Stüber connected. She also advises in the corporate sector and moved from Allen & Overy.
