2023 is almost over, which means we’re slowly but surely starting to see the announcements of delays for next year pile up. Next up is the expected next-gen update of the post-apocalyptic shooter with a trace amount of RPG elements in the name Fallout 4. It was announced at the end of October last year and we haven’t heard much about it since then. Actually, we didn’t hear anything at all. And now, after more than a year of complete silence, developers from Bethesda Game Studios asked players on social networks for a little more time. In short and well, we will visit the Commonwealth in next-gen presentation only sometime in 2024.

Unfortunately, the creators of the fourth Fallout, which was originally released in 2016 in a version for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, did not offer a closer date. They only stated that knows that fans are looking forward to the free next-gen update, while they themselves are also looking forward to it. And that’s about it.
Thank you for your patience with us as we work on the Fallout 4 next-gen update. We know you’re excited, and so are we! But we need a bit more time and look forward to an exciting return to the Commonwealth in 2024.

Anyway, last year we learned not only about plans for a release during this year, which of course no longer apply, but also about the fact that the next-gen update of Fallout 4 is headed for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. And that it should offer support for higher frames per secondfull 4K resolution support, various bug fixes and Creation Club bonus content. But with the last item, it will probably be a bit more complicated in the end, and quite possibly it is the real cause of the newly announced postponement. Creation Club, a kind of in-game store offering paid addons created by developers from Bethesda Game Studios or external authors, is slowly but surely closing down. From a certain point of view.
In the case of the cult RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it has already happened connection Creation Club with an offer of classic free mods, which you can download from the comfort of the main menu. The result is a system with the simple name Creations, which will most likely make it not only to Fallout 4, but also to this year’s Starfield, sooner or later. It is unlikely that the creators will decide to completely cancel the previously planned news of the Creation Club, but in the end we will probably see them in a slightly different form, which will take full advantage of the new Creations system. So, unlike the paid mods that are now available in Skyrim, they will not disable the ability to unlock achievements and trophies.
