On November 27, Jilin Changchun Intermediate People’s Court held a public hearing on the case. The court heard that Zhou Zhou confessed to throwing objects from high altitude, “He confessed that he threw objects more than ten times in six days and wanted to kill others by throwing them.”

After forensic psychiatric evaluation, the defendant Zhou was not mentally ill at the time of the case and was fully capable of criminal responsibility. After the incident, the defendant voluntarily surrendered, and the procuratorate prosecuted him for the crime of “endangering public safety by harmful means.”
