Russian Journalist Anna Tsareva, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Pro-Putin Newspaper, Found Dead – Police Launch Investigation

Moscow: Journalist found dead in Russia. Anna Tsareva, 35, the deputy editor-in-chief of Komsomolskaya Pravda, a pro-President Vladimir Putin newspaper, was found dead in her Moscow home.

Anna has not been heard from since Sunday. Anna’s father saw the dead body during the subsequent investigation. It is also noteworthy that her death comes a year after the mysterious death of Vladimir Zungorkin, Anna’s former boss and editor-in-chief of Komsomolskaya Pravda. Zungorkin was one of Putin’s closest followers.

For the past six years, Anna has been working in the editorial department of Komsomolskaya Pravda’s website. Komsomolskaya Pravda is the largest news website in Russia as of 2023. According to a European Commission document, Putin has described Komsomolskaya Pravda as his favorite newspaper. Putin also wrote a congratulatory message for the 95th anniversary of Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Police have started an investigation into Anna’s death. Initial information is that there are no signs of anyone trespassing into the apartment.
