The Neisse Film Festival in the border triangle of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic is still looking for films for the 21st edition. Feature films, documentaries and short films can still be submitted until December 31st, as organizer Michael Lippold announced on Wednesday. Productions from 2023 and 2024 that were produced or co-produced in at least one of the three countries Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic are eligible for the competition. The films will be selected by April 2024.
According to the information, the Neiße Film Festival has been taking place annually in May since 2004. In 2024 there will again be ten Neisse fish, the prize sculptures designed by the Strahwald artist Andreas Kupfer. This is associated with prize money totaling 26,000 euros. In addition to the best films in each category and the audience favorites, awards would also be given to the best acting performance, the best screenplay and the best production design.
