Norwegian offers kosher supplier cruises for Passover

Norwegian cruise company is going to produce two week-long cruises during the upcoming Passover holiday. The cruises left from the USA and not from the port of Haifa in Israel.

One voyage is to Alaska on the ship Norwegian Jewel that will depart from Seward, Alaska, on a route that will continue to Hubbard Glacier, Frozen Strait Point, Juneau Glacier, Skagway, Ketchico and ending in Vancouver.

Another voyage to the Caribbean on the ship Breakaway, which will depart from the port of Miami on a circular route to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, San Thomas in the Caribbean, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas and back to Miami.

There is no need to add anything to the abundance of attractions and facilities on NCL’s ships, and their impressive shore excursions.

The NCL spokeswoman says in response to our question that “you can order kosher food before boarding the ship”.

I allow myself to add that kosher keepers will find it very difficult to go through these 2 cruises, without going through “not to be seen and not to be found”. A couple of friends who sailed on an NCL cruise during Passover 4 years ago report that they ordered separately packaged kosher food. Indeed, they received kosher Hammachshiots for Passover heated to the table, but the matzots were served to them in a bowl together with bread and rolls. In addition to that, in the dining rooms they saw a lot of leavened foods, breads, pitas, cakes, cookies, mini pastries and more. Therefore, it seems to me that these tempting cruises are not intended for the religious public.
