[New Tang Dynasty News, Beijing time, December 12, 2023]As the epidemic broke out in China, the “leaders” of the CCP died one after another. On December 11, the body of former Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress Sang Guowei was cremated at Babaoshan Cemetery in Beijing, and the Seventh Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China appeared in Babaoshan again.
Chinese Communist Party media reported that Sang Guowei died in Beijing on December 7 “due to illness” at the age of 82. During his lifetime, he was a senior academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People’s Congress (vice-national level), and chairman of the 14th Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party.
On the morning of the 11th, Sang Guowei’s body was cremated at Babaoshan Cemetery in Beijing. Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, seven members of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of China Han Zheng once again appeared at Babaoshan to mourn.
This is the third time in less than two months that seven members of the Politburo Standing Committee, the highest level of the CCP, have appeared in Babaoshan to attend the funeral of a “leader” at or above the deputy national level.
Prior to this, on November 9, the body of former Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress Zhou Tienong was cremated at Babaoshan Cemetery, and the Seventh Standing Committee came to mourn.
Zhou Tienong is the vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People’s Congress, vice chairman of the 9th and 10th National Committees of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and chairman of the 11th Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang.
Official media reported that Zhou Tienong died of illness in Beijing on November 3 at the age of 85.
Before attending Zhou Tienong’s funeral, Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping and others attended the funeral of former Chinese Communist Party Prime Minister Li Keqiang in Babaoshan on November 2.
Li Keqiang, 68, died of a “sudden heart attack” in Shanghai on October 27. Li Keqiang had been in office for ten years and died mysteriously in Shanghai just over seven months after retiring. His death triggered widespread doubts from the outside world, and experts generally believed that Li Keqiang’s death was related to the struggle within the CCP.
Recently, the epidemic has resurfaced in China, and senior CCP officials have died one after another. According to preliminary statistics, at least 21 senior CCP officials, including Sang Guowei and Zhou Tienong, died of illness in about three weeks from mid-to-late November to early December. Here are just a few examples:
On December 6, Wu Yinsheng, former executive deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and former member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial CPPCC, passed away in Hefei.
On November 22, Liu Shuying, the former deputy governor of Jilin Province, passed away in Changchun, Jilin.
On the same day, Mei Zhaorong, the former ambassador of the Communist Party of China to Germany and former president of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, passed away in Beijing. Mei Zhaorong served as a German translator for dozens of then-CCP leaders including Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Deng Xiaoping.
On November 22, Yu Peng, the former chairman of the CPPCC of Jimo District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, died of illness in Qingdao at the age of 61.
On November 17, Yan Binghuo, former deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, passed away due to illness.
The epidemic in China continues to spread, and hospitals everywhere are overcrowded. On the one hand, the authorities concealed the epidemic, and on the other hand, they continued to upgrade epidemic prevention measures, highlighting the seriousness of the epidemic.
Since December, large conferences in Beijing, Guangzhou and other places have required nucleic acid tests, and health codes in many places have also been re-released.
Recently, Beijing, Shanghai and other places have required key groups such as the elderly to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and have also issued instructions to wear masks. Currently, people in many places in China are wearing masks again when traveling.
On August 27 this year, the Epoch Times website published a special report “Falun Gong Founder: Targeting the Communist Party” when the epidemic strikes again in China. Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, once again pointed out that the new coronavirus epidemic mainly targets the Communist Party and those who blindly follow, defend, and work for the Communist Party; many people have died so far, including many young people.
