Man Shot to Death in Bronx Apartment Building: Latest Update on the Incident and Ongoing Investigations

A 45-year-old man died after being shot in an apartment building in the Bronx, the New York police reported.

Officers were called to the building on West Farms Road near Hoe Ave. in Longwood around 10 p.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired. When the police comes, They found the victim with numerous gunshot wounds throughout his body.

Paramedics rushed him to Lincoln Hospital, where he later died. His name was not immediately mentioned. It was also not specified whether he was a resident of the building.

Shortly before the shooting, a former tenant of the building heard screams. “I heard this man shout something, but I don’t know what he was shouting… I was afraid to even look out the window,” he told yesterday. Daily News Cynthia Lucas, 63 years old.

“I’ve been in this building for 40 years and that never happened… Ever. That’s why I was scared,” Lucas added.
