Appeared on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform interesting project from Montek Solar is a portable power station in the form of a suitcase. There are two modifications to choose from: X2000 and X1200, differing from each other only in output power and battery recharging life. These are 2072 W / 1500 cycles (NCM battery) and 1280 W / 2500 cycles (LFP battery), respectively.
The manufacturer offers not just two options for a power station suitcase, but easily scalable systems. As a modification of the X2000, the X1200 device can consist of a maximum of 4 elements: 1*X2000 + 3*B2000 and 1*X1200 + 3*B1200. In the first case, the maximum capacity of the bundle can reach 8288 Wh, and in the second – 5120 Wh. It is impossible to connect different systems with each other due to incompatibility of battery cell types.
Both power stations provide a plentiful number of interfaces for powering external devices and charging the cases themselves:
- Two USB-C ports of 100 W each;
- Two USB-C at 65 W;
- Two 24W USB-A ports;
- Two DC 5521: 12V and 10A;
- Car socket: 12V and 15A;
- Aviation outlet: 12V and 30A;
- AC input/output: 100W / 3×2000W (maximum output power up to 4000W);
- Solar charging input: 850W.
It is reported that the X2000 model requires no more than 102 minutes to charge 0-80% from the network, and the X1200 only 1 hour. The devices also have an input for charging from solar panels, which can be purchased on the project page. There are two options to choose from: SP200 (up to 200 W of power) and SP400 (up to 400 W of power) for $299 and $599 respectively.
With solar panels, charging power plants takes significantly longer, but they allow you to achieve complete autonomy, which is especially important in nature during recreation, fishing, camping, etc.
What is the price?
- X1200 – $850 and $750 each additional B1200 case;
- X2000 – $1000 and $900 each additional B2000 format case.
You can order any of the devices on the Indiegogo site, the start of deliveries is scheduled for May 2024. Nothing is said about the possibility of delivery to the Russian Federation.
