Recently the attorney general and head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office -MP- appeared in her usual pre-recorded and clearly edited videos, giving a message to what we assume to be the workers of the prosecutor’s office. In this speech she states that she continues to carry out her duties and that she does so because she is there “to fulfill her obligations and that they do so, not only by mandate of law, but by mandate from above and that is why God has her there. ” This would not be the first time and unfortunately not the last and she would not be the first official or state official to invoke the name of God to justify her actions.
The prosecutor forgets that she is in that position not by divine design and much less by the delegation or designation of a king who proclaims himself the representation of God on earth, but that she is performing a public function that is framed in our legal system. But the prosecutor also forgets that the procedure by which she was “selected” to hold such a high position is the result of a series of rigged, corrupt and unpunished actions and that in turn these were carried out by mafia actors who did not you could be further from the supposed divinity she alludes to. Could it be that the prosecutor, in her intoxication and trance of power, no longer remembers that she had to hide her false thesis and that the vile and illegal argument was that while the person who was plagiarized more than 80 percent Of the same, he had not filed the complaint and it was because he had already died. Or perhaps the prosecutor does not remember that she practically forced herself illegally and illegitimately on the commissioners so that she would be included in the final list of candidates for said position.
But the prosecutor also forgets that in terms of fulfilling the functions that correspond to the Public Ministry, she has left the population that she claims to defend and protect completely and absolutely defenseless. The thousands of complaints filed by citizens affected by violence are not processed quickly; they rarely investigate and prosecute those responsible, making impunity a mechanism that par excellence gives way to increase in criminal acts. It has been a prosecutor’s office that has allowed the release of murderers, thieves of the public treasury, money launderers, drug traffickers, human traffickers and child traffickers in particular. So Madam Prosecutor, do not hide behind, nor justify your mediocre and corrupt actions under the argument of a divine design, because you are in a republic, but because your actions are very far from protecting the law and the common good of the citizens. and citizens.
