Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Rolando reloaded! The two superstars will meet again on the pitch at the start of the new year when Inter Miami face Al-Hilal and Al Nassr in the Riyadh Season Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The Major League Soccer team will play both friendly matches at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. They face Al-Hilal on Monday, January 29th, and Ronaldo’s Al Nassr three days later.
“This is another great opportunity to build lasting relationships with passionate fans. We look forward to meeting new fans in Saudi Arabia and hope people around the world will tune in to watch these two dream games,” said Xavier Asensi, Chief Business Officer of Inter Miami CF.
“These games will be important tests for our team that will benefit us in the new season. We look forward to our team getting the chance to compete against teams with as much quality as Al-Hilal and Al Nassr,” added Chris Henderson, Chief Soccer Officer and Athletic Director at Miami, added.
The two friendly matches are part of Inter Miami’s international preparatory tour, which includes visits to El Salvador, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong.
Messi and Ronaldo will duel again for the first time since January 2023 – when the Argentine played with Paris Saint-Germain against the Saudi All-Stars. Both players scored in the game, which PSG won 5-4.
In total, the two players have faced each other 36 times for their club and country, with Messi having the better record with 16 wins, nine draws and ten defeats.
