CAGLIARI (ITALPRESS) – Cagliari achieves the feat and comes from behind to beat Sassuolo 2-1 at home, finding the two winning goals in full injury time. It was Lapadula and Pavoletti who gave the three points to Ranieri’s team, who were behind for almost the entire match. After five minutes, Scuffet was decisive in blocking Henrique’s close range header. The former Udinese goalkeeper, however, had to capitulate in the 7th minute, when Erlic headed the ball home, making the most of a corner kicked by Laurientè from the left and thus making it 1-0 for his team. The Sardinians almost equalized in the 20th minute, when Prati headed from a corner but found Castillejo reacting to the save almost on the goal line. The rossoblù closed the first half on a high note, but without creating any further problems for the opposing goalkeeper. We go to half-time at 1-0. It’s the 2-1 that drives the home fans crazy and gives the three points to a Cagliari who rise to 13 and leave the relegation zone, -2 behind Sassuolo who must now start looking over their shoulders.
