Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — A number of banks are taking steps to sell non-performing assets to reduce the non-performing loan ratio. This step was taken by PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. (BBTN) or BTN and PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) or KB Bukopin.
BTN projects the non-performing loan ratio (non performing loan/NPL) can continue to shrink in 2024. One of the strategies taken is to sell problematic assets.
BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu explained that the company was confident NPL will fall and is projected at the end of 2024 below 3%. Meanwhile, in the third quarter of 2023, BBTN’s bad credit was at 3.53% for gross NPL and 1.58% for net NPL at the level of 1.58%.
