Officially… Milan announces the return of Ibrahimovic – Sports News – Sky News Arabia Sports

Red Bird Capital Partners announced on Monday that retired football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined as an operating partner and will serve as chief advisor to the owners of AC Milan, the Italian league competitor, and within the senior management.

Ibrahimovic (42 years old) retired at the end of last season when he was a player in Milan, bringing the curtain down on a career during which he played for Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Los Angeles.

As an operating partner at Red Bird, Ibrahimovic will collaborate with its global investment team and support the organisation’s sports, media and entertainment portfolio.

“I am very grateful to be joining Red Bird and Milan in these important and influential roles,” Ibrahimovic said.

He added: “I look forward to contributing to their investment activities in their sports, media and entertainment properties.”

At Milan, he will work as a senior advisor to the owners of the club, which is led by Red Bird, and will play an active role in the operations related to sports and business. His mission also includes player development and the development of the Italian team’s global brand.

Milan CEO Giorgio Forlani also commented on Ibrahimovic’s return to the club, which the Swedish player helped win the league title in 2022.

He said: “Using a leader like Ibrahim as an advisor to Milan’s leadership team highlights our commitment to the club’s future success in the interest of our players and fans.”

He continued: “We are fortunate to have Ibrahim’s creativity and his extensive network of relationships in European football to continue to advance the club on the global stage.”
