Pedro Malheiro is one of the names that Benfica is interested in to reinforce the right side. The president of Boavista, Vítor Murta, admitted that there are negotiations with the Reds.
“I think that this year, regardless of whether our players can leave in January or at the end of the season, we will be able to have a more sustainable financial situation again. You have certainly seen in the news the situation with Malheiro, Bozeník, Chidozie, we have a number of players that are being appreciated and valued and that the market is on top of them (…). If we look at the main squad we will see that we have a lot of money in assets. We have to know how to sell them. We are discussing with Benfica the value that we understand is the correct value, but if he doesn’t go to Benfica he won’t go”, stated the president of Boavista on the ‘Axadrezado-Especial de Natal Podcast’.
As Record had already advanced this Monday, negotiations between Benfica and Boavista for Pedro Malheiro are well underway, but the agreement is not yet closed because it is for defining the payment method.
