Second phase of the aqueduct began in the municipality of Bosconia, Cesar

They give way to second phase works of the aqueduct in the municipality of Bosconia, department of Cesar, a project that will benefit nearly 43,000 inhabitants of the rural area.

The event was carried out by the Government of Cesar and the population in general, where in addition to starting this work that will improve the living conditions of the communities, the main avenue was also inaugurated and works built by the Juntas de Community Action, (JAC).

“The municipality of Bosconia had to spend more than 65 years drinking raw water. Water not suitable for human consumption until the Government arrived that does it better and in alliance began work to buy the properties, design the master plan, buy the easement, acquire the license, execute the first stage and now the second stage that It consists of a treatment plant to bring treated water to all Bosconenses,” said Mayor Edulfo Villar.

The president of the municipality and departmental governor Andrés Meza gave the flag that represented the beginning of the construction works of phase 2 of the optimization of the Bosconia Aqueduct System, which will allow the population to enjoy the supply, in their homes, of permanently drinking water.

The project also includes the construction of a drinking water pumping system that goes from the homogenization tank to the storage tanks with a capacity of 180 liters per second.

“There was a debt with the municipality of Bosconia, today we are making the second phase of the aqueduct a reality. It has a conduction line that comes from the existing wells, reaching a treatment plant that undergoes a chlorination and homogenization process to the water with a tank of two million cubic meters and will work with solar panels in a complete lot. of three hectares. A conduction line goes to the existing eight-kilometer pipeline that will guarantee the quality of water required for human consumption and at the same time will guarantee the provision of the service 24 hours a day,” said Governor Andrés Meza.

There were 2.4 kilometers of paved road, two lanes, that leads to the town square and directly impacts the inhabitants of the Miramar, El Recreo and San Juan Bosco neighborhoods.

Likewise, the JAC, in the presence of the inhabitants of the Cañahuate neighborhoods and the institute, accompanied the Government of Cesar to the inauguration of the works carried out by the social organization, with the resources provided by the departmental entity.

The JAC accompanied the inauguration of a bridge that will improve access to the sector, while at the institute they inaugurated a park for the enjoyment of all the children who are part of the area and surrounding areas.
