Al-Marsad newspaper: X platform activist Iyad Al-Hamoud expressed his surprise at the sale of a distinctive mobile number at the STC Saudi Telecom Company auction for 30 million riyals.
Al-Hamoud commented on its sale price in a tweet in which he said: A short while ago, a mobile number (0500005386) was sold at auction from STC for 30,000,000 riyals (thirty million riyals).
He continued: “Although the numbers below it are more distinctive, they were sold for only 30 and 40 thousand.” Then Al-Hamoud asked, saying: What exactly is special about this number so that it is sold for 30 million???
Al-Hamoud’s tweet sparked controversy among his followers, as one commentator said that the ending of the number consisting of digits (5386) indicates or denotes positive meanings among spiritualists and energy experts, such as luck, comfort in life, and other beliefs.
Another said: It is possible because of the category of the number and it is without fair use if it has multiple SIM cards, while some commentators took the news in a sarcastic way, such as those who said: 30 million with which he can open a telecommunications company alone.
