“Within a month we will see a reduction in the prices of the speakers due to the fact that the global demand for fuels has fallen significantly. We are talking about more than 10%, which is about 20 cents down,” said Dimitar Hadjidimitrov from “Bulgaria Morning” The Association of Bulgarian traders, producers, importers and transporters of fuels.
“At some smaller gas stations, we see prices below BGN 2.50/l for gasoline and diesel. At the moment, both fuels are of a similar price. We will see better prices by the end of the year,” predicts Hadjidimitrov.
According to him, fuel consumption is lower in November and December. All deliveries until the New Year holidays are made by the end of October or by the middle of November to ensure that everything is in order with the logistics. According to him, people do not travel that much not only in Bulgaria, but also in Europe and in the world, and this could be a red light for an approaching crisis.
When asked if “Lukoil” sells its assets in Bulgaria, will this affect fuel prices, Hadjidimitrov replied that a sale of the oil company cannot change the market price.
“Prices are not determined by who will be in power or who will be the owner,” Hadjidimitrov said on Bulgaria ON AIR.
“The derogation worked mainly for the company for which it was made, but not for lower prices – the difference was 10-15 dollars per ton, that’s 2-3 cents. There is no way to get these 76 cents. There are production costs and wages. It was a made-up figure thrown into space,” he commented.
According to him, at the end of 2024, according to a European directive, we must increase excise taxes, which means a nearly 30% increase in speaker prices.
“Almost everywhere, prices will be below BGN 2.70/l for diesel and below BGN 2.60/l for gasoline. Gas will increase by 5-6 cents by the end of the month,” predicted Hadjidimitrov.
The guest emphasized that in the EU we have one of the lowest prices for fuels per column.
