BEIJING, Dec. 11, 2023 (Xinhua) – Recently released industrial data showed that China’s warehouse storage industry recorded sound performance last November, remaining in the expansion zone for the tenth month in a row.
According to the results of the survey issued jointly by the China Logistics and Procurement Federation and CMST Development Co., Ltd., the index tracking the sector’s development reached 52.2 percent last month, an increase of 1.3 percentage points from last October.
A reading above 50 percent indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 percent indicates contraction.
All major sub-indices in the sector remained in the expansion zone last November. Specifically, the figure measuring new orders reached 53 percent, up 3.3 percentage points from the previous month and returning to the expansion zone, indicating a recovery in market demand.
According to the survey, the business profits sub-index also rose by two percentage points from the previous month, returning to its recovery by entering the expansion zone, indicating improved performance in the sector.
The survey indicated that companies maintained sound market expectations, as the business expectations reading reached 55.2 percent last month, expecting the warehouse storage industry to maintain steady and healthy growth in the future.
