It was THE big fundraising gala of the year!
While millions of people are eager for the BILD charity “A heart for children” donated and watched the show on television, a lot happened behind the scenes of the mammoth broadcast.
Which celebrity ladies came alone, who had problems with their outfit and why the boys from The BossHoss walked the red carpet with a 14-year-old. BILD reveals what you didn’t see on TV.
Even before the show, presenter Laura Karasek (41) appeared backstage in a comfortable hoodie. It was so well received by those present that they demanded that she go on the show like that. But Laura decided on a mega eye-catcher: a glittering dress with insights. “Very subtle by my standards,” she said.
Naked blunder
GNTM winner Kim Hnizdo (27) appeared first on the red carpet. She wore a bright red sequined suit from NUE and underneath only a so-called body chain from “Swarovski x SKIMS”. She took a hearty bite into a gingerbread heart with the hashtag “A Heart for Children” (#EHFK).
“I know you always think that models don’t eat sweets, but that’s not true,” Kim said, laughing. A little later, however, she stopped laughing for a moment. Because the outfit was suddenly bursting at the seams.
Actress Rebecca Kunikowski (40) was there immediately and helped the top model with the sequin jacket so that Kim didn’t look completely naked. Kim explained: “I have no problem with nudity as a model. But the occasion has to be right.”
Anna Ermakovas Spickzettel
Pssst! Do not disturb. Anna Ermakova (23) wrote down German sentences for her shift at the donation phone. She told BILD: “I would like to try to only speak German with the donors. I owe it to them. But I’ll definitely be nervous afterwards. So I have to take notes.”
That’s why Verona came without Franjo
Entertainer Verona Pooth (55, in Yves Saint Laurent) is usually only seen in a double pack with husband Franjo Pooth (54) at important events. Why Verona made an exception this time? Verona reveals: “I’m here alone today. Franjo has become ill. We ate something wrong. Apparently a clam wasn’t good. He stayed at home in Düsseldorf. I was still at the pharmacy for him and then came to ‘A Heart for Children’.”
Presenter Annika Lau (44, in Luisa Cerano) also came alone. She told BILD: “I’m traveling without my husband Frederik today. He takes care of the children at home. I’m really looking forward to the evening!” The third member of the group, who appeared without her partner, was fellow presenter Mareile Höppner (46, in Yes to the Dress).
Whisper alarm in the TV studio
The original plan was for presenter and podcaster Amira Pocher (31) to sit in the TV studio just a few meters away from her husband Oliver Pocher (45). But shortly before the fundraising gala began, Amira was moved.
Now tennis star Alexander Zverev (26) and his girlfriend Sophia Thomalla (34) were sitting diagonally in front of Olli and his ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Wölden (40). There was always a lot of whispering alarm going on there. Olli also showed Sophia his Instagram story on his cell phone.
Country duo becomes a trio
Alec Völkel (51) and Sascha Vollmer (52) from The BossHoss changed from a country duo to a trio at short notice at the gala. The reason: Samba (14) has had 77 (!) operations in the last ten years, and now his big wish has been fulfilled: he was allowed to perform the hit “Don’t Gimme That” on stage with The BossHoss.
The teenager was spontaneously taken to the interviews on the red carpet. Alec to Samba: “Just come with me. Then you can experience something exciting.” Samba didn’t need to be told twice and accompanied the musicians on their interview marathon.
Thank you reception in the celebrity restaurant
After the fundraising gala, there was a thank you reception in the trendy Borchardt restaurant. The shuttles provided to the location were quickly full, so a few celebrities quickly boarded a coach.
The BossHoss boys Alec and Sascha took a beer with them on the trip, Ricarda Lang checked messages and emails at the back of the bus, Mareile Höppner was in a chatting mood and Anna Ermakova accompanied her mother Angela (55). “It’s like a school trip, only without alcohol,” commented a fellow traveler with loud laughter.
At Borchardt there were mini schnitzels, mini couscous – and an XXL cake. Because: Moderator Johannes B. Kerner celebrated his 59th birthday on the day of the broadcast. Of course there was also a serenade from all the party guests
