At the diplomatic Christmas reception, Catherine of Wales wore the dress she had already worn to the June 2023 wedding of Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa.
The dazzling diamond and pearl tiara once belonged to Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana.
The crown princess also wore Greville diamond chandelier earrings belonging to Her Majesty Elizabeth II.
A significant part of the Queen’s jewelry collection is made up of a gift to the royal family from Lady Margaret Greville, a friend of the Queen Mother, which was later inherited by Elizabeth II.
Cartier earrings were made for several years – from 1918 to 1929. Originally they were a simple pair of earrings. In 1922, they were extended using twelve additional diamonds. The earrings were completed in their current form in February 1929, when ten more diamonds were added.
