“Paneiyalios wants equality” | News

The administration of Panaegialio issued a notice of protest for the refereeing of the match with Panargeiakos, which reads as follows: “Unfortunately, Panaegialios G.S. for the second time in this year’s championship he is in the unpleasant position of denouncing the provocative treatment he received from the “lord” of the game, this time against Panargeiakos. Mr. Athanasios Zacharopoulos of the Eastern Attica association, for the second time after the match against Ermionida who treated us in the same discriminatory and hostile manner against us, succeeded in a crucial score game with his decisions to provoke his strong protests Paneiyaliou and succeeded in grossly unfairing our team to the benefit of our opponent.

And for the sake of the truth, we quote the facts that undoubtedly confirm our strong dissatisfaction with the correctness of Mr. Zacharopoulos’ decisions. First of all, in an unsportsmanlike marking of our football player Fokaidis (which resulted in him being taken to the hospital for stitches after the end of the game), by an opposing football player with his elbow, even though he whistled the offense late, he did not consider it necessary to punish him with a card, even though he should have with the regulations to show him a red card.

On the contrary, when asked by our coach about showing an unjustified yellow card to our team captain, even though our team had possession of the ball, he showed particular “sensitivity” since he thought he should show him two consecutive yellow cards and send him off for non-existent reasons, even writing untruths on the match sheet.

He showed a non-existent foul against us which started the phase of the home team’s goal and since in its development there was an offensive foul against our footballer which he blatantly ignored, even though he saw a Panargiakou footballer leaning on our defender to take the header-pass to the goal scorer.

Also, the ease with which he showed a yellow card to our players, in no case did he show it to the players of Panargeiakos, even though they suffered harsh markings.

The ostentatiously irritating, ironic and negative treatment of Mr. Zacharopoulos towards our team and our footballers, ended in an obvious reversal of our striker Makris, in the area of our opponents, in a phase which took place in front of him and there was no doubt.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again to avoid misunderstandings. Paneiyaleios is a healthy club and under no circumstances wants its games to be determined by non-competitive reasons.

Paneiyaleios does not want some to consider him an easy “victim”. Paneiyalios wants BALANCE. Paneiyalios wants to get what he is entitled to in every game. Paneiyaleios wants to receive the respect he deserves. Paneiyalios wants the games to be won by those who deserve it and not by those who do not deserve it competitively.

And above all, Paneiyalios wants to win Greek football, which he serves with the due seriousness and responsibility that befits the history of the Aegean club”
