A Mediterranean cyclone passing through Bulgaria will create a significant precipitation situation of rain and snow

Next week on Friday and Saturday, wintry conditions are set. This was announced by Meteo Balkans forecasters.

According to the latest analyzes of the European Center for Medium-Term Forecasts (ECMWF), under the influence of Mediterranean cyclones passing through Bulgaria, a significant precipitation situation of rain and snow will be created in the period between December 14-17.

Around noon on Thursday (14.12), from west to east, the cloudiness will begin to increase and in Western and Northwestern Bulgaria, new precipitation will begin. On Friday, the precipitation will cover the entire country, and in the mountainous regions it will turn into snow. The weather forecast for the rest of the day on Friday and Saturday night across the country will worsen. Precipitation will be accompanied by strong gusts of wind, and as the temperatures drop, it will also be snow. Blizzards are also possible.

It is important to clarify that the GFS at this time does NOT predict such a process. That is, the forecast has significant uncertainty, but it is good to be informed.

Forecasters appeal to drivers to pay attention to the forecasts for the upcoming situation!

In the coming days this forecast will undergo many changes and in reality this forecast is not official. The idea of this type of forecast is to give an overview of what we can expect during the week.

As we have repeatedly emphasized, such forecasts are uncertain in the longer term 7-day plan and may undergo changes, so keep an eye on the daily forecasts as well.
