A storm is a meteorological phenomenon that can involve serious risks, and not only for those exposed to lightning on the surface.
Definitely, One of the most dangerous places to experience a storm is a city sewer., since it serves as a drain for the large amount of water that usually falls during these episodes. An example of this is the video published two weeks ago by Canalism, a Czech YouTube channel specialized in sewers.
The images were recorded on February 28, 2023 in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic. What appears in the video, according to its author, is the Červený relief chamber, specifically the combined main sewer C of the Červený holding tank, in the Ponava district: “It was a large storm complex that began to form during the day on the border between Germany and Switzerland.passed through Bavaria, entered the Czech Republic via Šumava and České Budějovice, and then continued in the same direction northeastwards via Brno.”.
In the video we see the waterspout that formed ten minutes after the storm (the video is in Czech and with some English subtitles, but YouTube’s automatic subtitles don’t work):
