Botafogo Dominates Corinthians in São Paulo Women’s Cup, Advances to Semifinals

O Botafogo thrashed the Corinthians by 4 to 1 this Sunday (10/12), at the Ibrachina Arena, in São Paulo, closed the first phase with 100% success and advanced to the semi-finals of the first edition of the São Paulo Women’s Cup. The next opponent will be Internacional.

Bebê, at three minutes, and Carol Valle, at 38, opened a good lead in the first half. In the final stage, Marussi scored at 31 minutes, but Duda Basílio, at 36, and Izabelly, at 50, closed the account for the Crias Gloriosas.

Led by coach Léo Goulart, Botafogo played with Mari Zanella; Kemilly, Letícia Debiasi, Raiani and Guima; Kewllen, Duda Basílio and Bebê (Juanny); Sassá (Geizi), Carol Valle (Izabelly) and Teté (Miga).

In the semi-final, Botafogo, first placed in Group C, will face Internacional, who finished at the top of Group A. The match is scheduled for next Wednesday (13), at Rua Javari, with a time yet to be defined by the FPF.
