Crown Princess Victoria’s Purple Creation at Nobel Prize Ceremony 2023

On Sunday, Jon Fosse (64) receives the Nobel Prize in Stockholm from King Carl Gustaf (77). The award was also attended by Queen Silvia (79), Crown Princess Victoria (46) and Prince Daniel (50).

The Crown Princess is now getting a lot of attention for her purple creation.

Brought to tears

Swedish The evening paper writes, among other things, that Victoria is wearing the “amethyst set” tonight and that her tiara was originally a necklace. This has later been converted into a diadem.

– She wears really bright colors, just like her mother. Both Crown Princess Victoria and Queen Silvia have so much character and can really wear strong colours, in which other people can disappear, says designer and artist Christer Lindarw to Damenes värld on Sunday.

According to the newspaper, designer Camilla Thulin is behind Victoria’s dress.

Se og Hør’s royal house expert, Caroline Vagle, pays tribute to the crown princess’s outfit.

Setting the web on fire

– Wow, Victoria spares no expense when it comes to a Nobel gown. Once again she steals the show, this time in a spectacular purple dress. Perfect choice of colors in the Advent season, says Vagle.

According to the royal house expert, the dress is reused.

– The Crown Princess also wore it when the Dutch royal couple visited in 2022.

The diadem, on the other hand, according to Vagle, is the first time she has worn the Nobel Prize. The same diadem was worn by Queen Silvia during the Nobel Prize in 1986.

– The amethyst jewelery also matches perfectly!

Queen Silvia, for her part, wears Queen Sofia’s tiara, according to the Swedish newspaper. Silvia wore that diadem for the first time during her first Nobel ceremony in 1976.

Princess Sofia (39) is also present. She wore her own wedding tiara, which she does during every Nobel ceremony, Vagle can tell.

This year, however, it may appear that the princess has made changes to the tiara. The usual peaks on the diadem have been replaced with green emeralds.

– It has many different expressions. The stones can be replaced, and today they are emeralds, she explains.
