Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds about the rules for using fireworks | Society

The Mogilev regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations spoke about the dangers and rules for using fireworks, reports BELTA.

On December 9, at about 10:20 p.m., rescuers were informed from the Bobruisk hospital that a teenager born in 2007 had been hospitalized with arm injuries. It turned out that a firecracker exploded in the 10th grader’s hand.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations recalled that accidents involving firecrackers lead to serious injuries and sometimes even death.

The first danger is serious injury, including burns, damage to the hands, face, eyes and hearing. Especially when the pyrotechnics don’t work and the child begins to figure out why – he shakes the rocket and looks inside.

In addition, an uncontrolled explosion of firecrackers can cause a fire.

The public danger of pyrotechnics for people and animals increases many times over when used in crowded places.

Therefore, if a holiday without fireworks is not for you, purchase only legal products sold in official retail outlets that have all the necessary documents.

Only small fountains and thin sparklers can be used indoors. All flying products should be launched only on the street and in open space, away from houses.

Rockets should only be launched vertically upward. It is forbidden to direct them at people even as a joke. It is better not to take dogs or cats to fireworks; their behavior may become unpredictable due to fright.
