The feature documentary film “37-27” by Syrian director Nour Halloum was selected to participate in the official competition of the Trans-Saharan International Film Festival in Zagora – Morocco, among 8 films that will be shown in this competition. This is the world premiere of the film.
It is an Egyptian-Syrian production, produced by Egyptian producer and director Ahmed Rashwan, in partnership with its Syrian director, Nour Halloum, who also wrote the film’s script.
The festival will be held in its seventeenth session from December 15 to 20, 2023, and will screen 24 films from 14 countries in its three competitions.
The film deals with the Syrian director’s journey back in memory through reality, from exile to her homeland, all the time that the recent war in Syria took away and destroyed. Syrian director Nour Halloum spent ten years in Egypt until her return to her homeland.
The film “37-27” had won several achievements during the post-production phase, as the film participated in the Factory Initiative of the Luxor African Film Festival and won 3 awards, including a color correction award and a publicity award presented by Cult Company.
