“Anatomy of a Case” is best film at the 36th European Film Awards

Justine Triet’s “Anatomy of a Case” (“Anatomie d’une Chute”) won the premier category of Best Film at the 36th European Film Awards. At the celebratory gala in the German capital Berlin, the French crime drama won the main prize and thus the fifth award after the categories of directing, screenplay, editing and the actress prize for the German shooting star Sandra Hülser.

“Anatomy of a Case” had already been honored with the Palme d’Or in Cannes this year – as was last year’s winner “Triangle of Sadness” by Ruben Östlund in 2022, which also won a double from Cannes and the European Film Prize. In the evening, Hollywood star Mads Mikkelsen won best actor against Viennese Thomas Schubert, who had been nominated in the best actor category. (APA)
