A novelty that some other chat applications have been offering for a long time is the possibility to edit already sent messages. It can be done on messenger within 15 minutes after sending. Many users have been calling for this feature for a long time. It is useful, for example, in cases where a person clicks too hard or makes a spelling or factual error. So far, such a mistake could not be corrected.
Disappearing messages
Disappearing messages are an interesting novelty. Such a text evaporates 24 hours after sending. It is a similar principle to that used, for example, by photos in stories. But users don’t have to worry that all their messages will disappear. This function will require its activation.

A very useful function for some users will be the ability to set in the messenger if you want others to see if you have read their message. “We know people value their privacy, and this feature reduces the pressure to respond immediately,” the company explained.
Photos and videos
Another change concerns photos and videos. The developers have worked on the image quality and several new controls have also been added. According to Meta, further improvements are planned. Over 1.3 billion photos and videos are sent daily via messenger, the company claims.
Voice messages
Sending voice messages has become very popular recently. Instead of typing a long text, people just record their message and send it, which saves them a lot of time. In addition, the option to play the voicemail 1.5x or 2x faster will also be available. It will also go and play a message where you left off before. So you won’t have to play it again from the beginning.
The news should be available immediately, but it is possible that it may take some time before the app is updated for all users.
