Mohamed Salah scored his 150th goal in the English Premier League against Crystal Palace, on Saturday.
Thus, the Egyptian striker rose to tenth place on the Premier League’s top scorers list, tied with former Liverpool striker Michael Owen.
It was also Salah’s 200th goal with Liverpool in all competitions, becoming the fifth player to reach this historic mark with the team.
Salah equalized for Liverpool in the 76th minute of the match held at Selhurst Park after a goal scored by Jean-Philippe Mateta from the penalty area for Palace in the 57th minute.
“It was a really difficult match, but of course when you win a match and score a goal, I have a great feeling. Happy for the record and happy for the team and the win,” Salah happily told TNT.
Before the end of the match, Harvey Elliott scored Liverpool’s winning goal from a pass from Salah.
Liverpool topped the standings with 37 points, one point ahead of Arsenal, who will visit Aston Villa later, after a match that saw Palace striker Jordan Ayew sent off for receiving a second warning after a non-serious violation in the 75th minute.
The referee, Andrew Madley, was busy throughout the match, as he showed the yellow card eight times to the home team and refused to award them a penalty kick in the first half after he was summoned to watch the incident via the video assistant referee.
Palace finally opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the 57th minute, after another lengthy review determined that Jean-Philippe Mateta was obstructed by centre-back Jarel Quansah, and Mateta successfully executed the kick in the middle of the goal.
Liverpool did not fire a single shot on goal and were struggling to create chances until Ayew, who received his first yellow card for disobeying the referee while taking a free kick an hour after the start, was sent off in the 75th minute after a challenge that appeared not serious.
