Radio DJ Luc Sarneel Announces Retirement from NPO 3FM After Six Years

Luc Sarneel will retire from NPO 3FM after six years, he announced in his program this morning. He will make his last broadcast on Sunday morning, December 17. “After six years of working at 3FM with great pleasure, I am leaving the station.”

According to the DJ, he will be back on the radio. “That’s a certainty, because I can’t live without it.” But now, he says, it’s time to travel. “To try to write a book and think about what else I want to do with my life.”

Elderly

Two years ago he was in the news because he thought that older people occupied ‘nice places’ on the radio. “I think that there are a lot of gray people in Hilversum who occupy all kinds of nice places. People who don’t want to stop working. At the weekend you have that MAX program on Radio 1, in which two very strange people are shouting into a microphone. They are really crazy,” says Luc.
