Linda Yaccarino, CEO of the X platform, announced on Thursday that more than 10 million people joined the site this December.

This comes at a time when the company, formerly known as Twitter, faces the risk of incurring losses of up to $75 million by the end of the year, after major brands stopped their promotional campaigns on the platform, according to the New York Times.
It was not yet possible to reach “X”, which does not publish data on users on a regular basis, to comment on how subscriptions in December compared to the average, or why Yaccarino revealed the number, according to “Reuters”.
The platform’s owner, American billionaire Elon Musk, said last July that the site is being used by about 540 million people monthly.
Several companies, such as Apple, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Paramount Global, announced last month that they would temporarily stop advertising on “X.”
Musk directed insults at advertisers who left the platform “after he agreed with a user who claimed that Jews were fueling hatred against white people,” according to the same agency.
