MANADOPOST.ID – Every week, young worshipers who want to go to the Al-Aqsa Mosque are prohibited from entering.
They reportedly failed to get close because Israeli troops pushed back every Friday with tear gas and water spray.
A report from Al Jazeera media stated that only older people were allowed to pass through.
Typically, around 60,000 to 70,000 worshipers attend Friday prayers at Islam’s third holiest site. Last week, the number was about 5,000.
Israel says it is doing this to prevent tensions because there is a war going on and it is under emergency law.
But Palestinians see it as another reason to prevent movement and stop them from carrying out their daily activities. (tkg)
