Tesla with record kilometers. What the car looks like with 1.9 million kilometers on board

A Tesla Model S owned by a German owner has traveled 1.9 million kilometers. Even after all these kilometers, the owner enjoys his car.

At the time of writing, the car owner will have reached the milestone of 1.9 million kilometers behind the wheel of his car. It is a Tesla Model S from 2014, version P85. The car has gone through at least 13 new engines and is on its fourth battery pack.

The owner claims he is not an aggressive driver and says he does not exceed 100 km/h in his daily commute, despite living in Germany where there are unrestricted stretches of autobahn. He also says that he doesn’t let the battery level drop below 15% and charges it to a maximum of 70%. This kind of conscientious attitude towards charging means that its current battery has only degraded by 8% after 150,000km and has a real range of 400km.

What does a Tesla look like after 1.9 million kilometers?

The owner of the car did not use it as a taxi, but is an ordinary person who bought this car second-hand when it had only 30,000 km. Thus, from 2014 until now, he has used the car for commuting, but he has also been on expeditions of thousands of kilometers to countries all over the world.

Although the car needed some substantial work to reach this number of kilometers, it is still an impressive achievement, especially in such an early electric model. And the fact that it went 400,000 km on one battery is more important than saying that it had to be changed 3 times. The owner says he had a few issues with the infotainment system, but overall the car looks good, including the interior, where the leather on the seats and steering wheel is original. Although it would look even better if cleaned, it shows minimal signs of wear.
