CDPR thanks Cyberpunk 2077 fans for their award at The Game Awards: “We couldn’t have done it without you”

CD Projekt RED received an award for its hard work. The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 received a statuette at The Game Awards and decided to thank their community, because it was thanks to them that this difficult task was solved.

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a very long way, because the game was not ready for release day and performed terribly on previous generation consoles and weaker PCs. However, the studio undertook a significant restructuring, and in the end their work was rewarded.

The game received no less than four nominations at The Game Awards this year, but it’s safe to say that the company took home the biggest prize.

Cyberpunk 2077 received the “Best Game Support” award, which perfectly sums up the hard work of CD Projekt RED. Over the past few months, the company has released two major updates for the game, and also offered players a full expansion.

It’s been a wild ride. But we couldn’t do it without you, our community.

Thank you for your continued love and support.

CD Projekt RED is embarking on the next chapter in its history. The main department of the studio is working on the first part of the new Witcher trilogy, while at the same time a second team will be formed in Boston to work on the next Cyberpunk. Now the company will develop two AAA games at the same time, but we will have to wait several years for big releases and (potentially) awards.
