A man was shot and killed while behind the wheel of his parked van in Brooklyn (NYC) Tuesday night.
According to the NYPD, the victim was shot in the right arm and chest in a Toyota 4Runner in front of a home on Macon St. near Malcolm Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhoodaround 10:20 pm on Tuesday.
Paramedics took the victim to Kings County Hospital, but were unable to save him. Police were working to determine his identity, he said. Daily News.
The motive for the crime, which appeared to have been planned, is unclear. A local resident said that The victim lived in the area and parked every day in the area where he was shot..
“My friend was coming from the store around the corner,” the resident said. “She saw him and thought he was sleeping in the car, but he had the window down, so he went to wake him up and his eyes were in the back of his head and it looked like he was having a seizure.”
Then his friend called an ambulance. “But when he finished calling them, the police arrived,” the resident added. “The guy lived around here for years.”
A local store owner said police closed his warehouse for two hours while they investigated. “We heard about a shooting, but we don’t know what happened,” he said. “I couldn’t see much outside. I heard three shots. It wasn’t too loud. We thought it was like a firecracker. We didn’t hear much commotion outside.”
