[씬속뉴스] “The photo of the delivery app is different from the actual food.” Even after receiving a full refund, the truth and abuse of power

An article titled ‘The truth about delivery’ was recently posted on a self-employed community.

Sushi restaurant owner delivers ‘sushi set’ ordered via mobile

I complained that something absurd had happened to me…

The problem was that buckwheat was included in the ‘staged photo’ in the delivery app menu.

“I wanted to eat buckwheat, so I ordered it, but there was no buckwheat. You asked what you would do for me. Then either make buckwheat and send it to me, or give me money. I will pay for the buckwheat. Eat the product as it is.”

We couldn’t set a price for ‘buckwheat’ that wasn’t sold, so we placed an additional order.

They said they would refund the 1,000 won cost of the ‘mini udon’, but

“I asked if it would be okay if I refunded 1,000 won, and he said, ‘Do you think I’m a beggar? Do you think I would have called to get 1,000 won?’”

In the end, the full order amount of 44,200 won was refunded… Afterwards, the ‘truth and abuse of power’ continued.

“At first, he said he knew, then hung up and then called the store again. He said if he didn’t get it within 10 minutes, he would throw it all away. I asked the driver to retrieve it quickly. I asked him to just take a picture saying he had recovered it and send it to me, and he put it out there. “I ripped up the wrap and everything…”

The ‘out-of-line’ behavior that continued even after it was collected by the delivery driver,,

“I think they called me 3 or 4 times to tell me to come and clean it because it was dirty outside and they ran out of soy sauce. I kept calling Baemin and told them to quickly change the photo because this is a scam…”

In response to “It’s too much for customers to do,”

“It was also the fault of the business that used the wrong photo.”

“We talked to the head office and took action to correct (the photo), and they added the phrase ‘Buckwheat is not provided separately.’”

Wrong ‘staged photo’ vs ‘truth and abuse of power’ that crosses the line
