The Central Bank explained, in its balance sheet report for September 2023, that its balance sheet increased on an annual basis by 32% to reach 639.57 billion dirhams at the end of last September, compared to about 484.63 billion dirhams in September 2022, an increase equivalent to 154.9 billion dirhams.
During the first nine months of this year, the balance sheet of the Central Bank increased by 15.7%, or the equivalent of 87 billion dirhams, compared to about 552.55 billion dirhams at the end of December 2022.
According to statistics, the Central Bank’s budget was distributed in terms of assets at 260.29 billion dirhams for cash and bank balances last September, in addition to investments at about 215.14 billion dirhams, 117.81 billion dirhams for deposits, 2.57 billion dirhams for loans and advances, and 43.76 billion dirhams for assets.
